I have played this course more than any other in my life. It is beautiful and has wonderful character. This is a wonderful example of a lynx style course. The fariways are hard and fast and so are the greens. The one thing you will need to get used to is the rough is ROUGH...thick and high. This causes some slow down as just hitting slightly errant shots cause you to hunt for hours looking for your ball. And IF you find it...have fun trying to hack it out.<br />

The staff is wonderful and freindly and the course has some truely amazing and challenging holes.

What a fun time. This course just seems to get better with age. They have a new proshop, restaurant and a huge deck on the back that overlooks the island green par 3. I personally think the greens are the best in town, they always run true. Check it out soon before everyone catches on to what a terrific value it is. We played in 4 hours during the middle of the day.

Best greens in Orange County! The staff tells me that Aliso's greens are the same type of bentgrass as Pinehurst #2 the 2005 site for the US Open. They roll very true! The staff is absolutely incredible and very helpful. This is one of the best maintained courses in Orange County. I just played today (June 7, 2005) in less than 4 hours. The new clubhouse addition is a great improvement. The covered deck overlooking the 8 Valley island green is awesome. The food is great (I had the blackened chicken caesar wrap...Wow it was good!!) I highly recommend! It's my favorite course!

This has always been a disappointing experience. Course is well designed and has some interesting holes and convenient location - but management does not seem to care about pace of play. 5 hour rounds are fast here - don't play without a large cooler of beer and have lots of ice. That is the only way to enjoy the round because there is a lot of sitting around before EVERY shot. Too bad because this should be a fun course.

Price would be good value for quality of course - but due to poor management it isn't.
