Incompetence at Kevorkian General by Marcie H. at InsiderPages
Most locals know not to come here. In the past 20 years we've known of 2 people who's deaths were caused due to incompetent care. One family member lost the use of their leg due to unsterilized surgical equipment. Recently a family member was admitted and they performed a catherization due to heart blockage history. They say it was clear. Then they said he had pneumonia and treated him. Then they said he did not have it. During the entire time he did not receive care from the nurses. He asked for headache medicene, food and water and they kept putting him off for hours. One night he never received dinner and he was supposed to eat. Another time his IV was out of the vein and leaking and they wouldn't come until a family member got irate. He as finally dismissed after making a family member wait hours to take him home. They said to come back for an ultrasound of his gallbladder. He told them it was removed 20 years ago. They said never mind. They never could find out what was causing his kidney failure. Do not go here or send your loved ones here. Go to Greensboro or Duke.
