Fantastic Service and Quality
I have built my company on customer service.  So, I'm a stickler for it.  I'm almost never satisfied with the customer service that I receive from other businesses. I’m always disappointed.  Back in July, I had Elie  completely go over my red Tesla Roadster.  I have never been MORE satisfied with the quality of the product, the service and the attentive customer service that I received. I really can’t say enough about Elie and the service I received.  Everything about the whole experience was superb.

The items I had put in were the stereo package, amplified antenna, audiophile system, bespoke black and saddle leather interior with tan stitching, black perforated leather with black Alcantara put on the steering wheel, floor mats with the Tesla logo, the carbon fiber door sills, ceramic tint to the windows, 2 glove box doors, the rear tail light surrounds painted the body color, an iPod cover and finally, the inside of the hardtop covered in Alcantara.

The leather included the dashboard, complete coverage of the doors, the rear wall, and the seats.  All of it was beautifully, perfectly done.  The sound system and it's reception is incredible. I drove the car up to the Menlo Park Tesla dealer and had a crowd of Tesla employees listening, dumbstruck, to the sound system.  It’s that good.  And I hardly ever plug the sound system in to be charged.

The navigation system is better and easier to use than any OEM system in any car that I have ever owned. And that goes back to my first navigation system in a BMW 7 series back in 1997.

If you are unhappy with the interior of your Tesla or the sound or navigation system, I urge you to speak with Elie.  He really, really knows what he’s doing.  I’ve never been happier with any company’s product or service and I’m sure you will be too.

Thanks Elie,
Ron Elliott

uncertain outcome
On the second day I owned my car I took it to Al & Ed's in West Hollywood to have a new stereo installed. They did a great job on an install in my Smart and after Eli Rothstein, the franchise owner, walked me through the shop and showed me the custom work being done on a Rolls Royce, I was comfortable with my choice. I could not have been more wrong.

When I went to pick up the car the first thing I noticed was the installation looked marginally better than if it was taped in with duct tape. Gaps could be seen around the plastic fascia, which not only did not match the leather and wood of the dashboard, but was not glued in place. The unit itself was sold an installed without any thought given to the angel of the dashboard, and accordingly, looked out of place. I was also told for the first time that the 6 disk changer they left in the car was now inoperable. This was troubling, but not half as troubling as finding out the sound for the navigation system was no longer integrated with the stereo system and the dashboard was not properly reassembled.

As Elie sat in the car showing me how to operate the poorly installed system, I asked him whether he would believed the work to be representative of the shop. Whether he would be proud to show it. He would not answer the question. Instead, he kept saying I must be happy.

I had to be at a meeting, so I got in my sawdust covered car (the dust from fabrication settled on my car throughout the day) and took off. Elie offered to repair the job, but with dissatisfaction growing every time I looked at the dashboard, I could not bring myself to return.

They did great work for me before and I've seen evidence of other good work, but after this experience, I have to say engaging them for work is a gamble.

High priced and think they are too cool.
They tried to charge me $2000 for an install that I got somewhere else for $750. They charge way too much because they are close to Beverly Hills and can get away with it. Luckily I did a little bit of research and found they are really overcharging people.

Ignored by clerk
Clerk was helping a guy that probably looked like he had money to spend. I don't dress like money, but I was looking to spend quite a bit. (Not that that should matter.) It's a small store - I was standing four feet from the clerk and he just outright ignored me, looked me over and pretended like I hadn't walked in. I waited five minutes thinking he must not be the clerk at all - then finally walked out.

Their loss!
