I started training a few months ago with no previous martial arts experience. The instructors and students there were very friendly and helpful in getting me started. It has been an incredible experience. At first I was going about three days a week and now I go everyday that the school is open. The quality of instruction is excellent and accessible.‎

Full disclosure: I'm a student here -- but how much would you trust me if I raved about this dojo but didn't attend? Aikido as an art is in general very accessible to people of every age, body type and any other category. The Aikido Institute as a community is very open and welcoming, with classes that accommodate beginners and highly advanced students both. While plenty of people have theories about their favorite type of martial art, I am convinced that the quality of instructors matters far more, and the instructors here are excellent. Visitors are also welcome to simply observe from the front benches during classes.‎
