wolf in sheep's clothing
I attended this "church" for many years. I went to "prayer meetings" and was quite involved. The "prayer meetings" were an opportunity for the pastor to spread gossip and would say, "I wouldn't say these things, but its common knowledge." Those things weren't common knowledge (i.e. a fight between a husband and wife, a man's struggle with pornography, etc.). They would "appear" to embrace mixed-race couples, but I was told by the pastor that women who dated dark skinned men had a poor self-esteem. The woman pastor, after asking her to pray, once tried to "cast the devil" out of my son (he was a year old and having an asthma attack). If you have money, you will be deemed as "blessed" and if you don't, you must have "sin in your life." I know of other stories that I am not comfortable spewing on this site, but anyone visiting must understand what really goes on and must guard your heart. They claim to be "on the forefront of what God is doing," but are traditionalists who have some personal issues. If you are a fundamentalist who likes to judge other people rather than lend a hand of love, this is the church for you. If you want to grow to understand others, love others, be a beacon of light to those who are around you, this is NOT the place for you.
