Aesthetic Associates Richard P. Clark MD
My daughter tried a lips injection to make them bigger. The first 3/4 injection created painful pumps/bubbles. She went back to have her lips checked and was told by the doctor they would be fine. A few days later she went back to get the 1/4 left injected since her lips didn't look much different. The RN was about to put the rest in but then mislaid the bottle. She even started to go through the wastebasket to find the bottle, thinking that it accidentally dropped in there. My daughter objected and asked her to get a new bottle, not one out of the garbage. The nurse told her that it was probably better to just do another injection. My daughter thought that was replacing the first injection which hardly showed and was making up for the rest of her bottle that got mislaid. After another 3/4 injection, she ended up charging her $500 on top of the $500 that she had already paid less than two weeks earlier. My daughter was told by someone in the office that they lose bottles all of the time and then start new ones, charging the patients again. This routine sounds fraudulent to me. She was also told that $500 entitled her to two procedures before the first treatment. She wanted her two to be for her lips. She was told that the injections last for six months. It's been three weeks and two separate injections, and her lips don't look much bigger than they were originally. Now she's been told that a second lip procedure cannot count anyway. Plus they take the after picture right after the first procedure when they pushed, squeezed and massaged the lips so much that they have become red and swollen. A couple of days later, the lips go back down. So, it is a false after picture. The after picture should be taken a month later at least. I plan to pursue these issues on behalf of my daughter with this company.
