Massive tooth infection leads to another $2500 bill! When I
Massive tooth infection leads to another $2500 bill! When I was having a root canal done, at Absolute Dental this year I had a horrible experience that I am still dealing with. Once the dentist had set me in the chair and gave me some numbing shots, which didn't numb anything. When I told the dental assistant that I could still feel everything, so said "No you can't" and proceeded with the procedure without any kind of anesthesia which was one of the most painful experiences of my life. Once they had cut me open, they all just left for about 15 minutes with my open wound left out in the open air. When they came back in they all smelled of cigarettes and began their work again as if nothing had happened. I told them then that I can smell the smoke on the hands and I wanted them to go wash their hands before they performed surgery on me, I got dirty looks and no response. Needless to say I have gotten bills that were 3 times the amount of the bill they first told me it would be. They charged me twice for the same root canal on the same tooth (which is $1300 each) and they refuse to admit their mistake and change the bill to be correct. Now I have had a massive tooth infection from their unclean practices. Absolute Dental refuses to do any more work on the tooth they screwed up on without being paid. Obviously I would not go back and pay them any more to infect me again and send me more mystery bills. Nobody at the office will return my calls. My infection got so bad that it spread to my blood and I had to be hospitalized (haven't got that bill yet, but it will be around $3000 hopefully not more). I had to go to another dentist and when they operated on my tooth they said that the previous dentist had not even properly removed all of the root of my tooth or properly closed the wound. Needless to say Absolute Dental should be shut down for it's unclean practices and unlawful billing practices. Please save yourself a headache and don't go there! I still have a $4800 bill from Absolute Dental that they have sent to collections now because refuse to pay it.

The office staff is snippy and rude except for one very very nice man named Pedro. The dentist was frankly an ass. But who can blame him for being so pissy all the time? There are a dozen dental hygentists and such running around and one dentist. If they find you need work done they pressure you to have it done right then and there instead of rescheduling for another day. So they are always really behind. I took my daughter in for a cleaning and checkup. We were there for two hours and left with no cleaning and no work done. I had to reschedule and the dentist was actually upset with me for waiting two days!

When we went back to have a cavity filled and the cleaning finally done, we waiting 30 minutes before they started. Only part of the cleaning was done before the dentist swooped in and scared the crap out of my daughter. He didn't say anything to her and just came at her with the novacain!! Then sat there for the novacain to work for 45 more minutes before the dentist swooped in again and this is what really got me...He just started going with the drill without checking if she was completly numb! She started to shake and right before he got to the tooth he said, "if it hurts, don't move. Raise your hand." WHAT?? Thank goodness it didn't! I also asked a question before he started and he actually had the nerve to roll his eyes at me and sigh like I was a moron. Then made the answer so confusing it was pointless. I did speak to the hygentist who was nice and she explained everything and helped comfort my teenager.

Now I still have to go back this week because my daughters tooth is really hurting. I would go somewhere else, but insurance won't cover and Absolute Dental is responsible anyway and should fix any mistake that was made. Stay away!

I was very disapointed with my experience with this Absolute
I was very disapointed with my experience with this Absolute Dental location. My boyfriend and I went in for a consultation and we had to wait for over an hour before the dentists would look at us. When the benefits lady came to give us the prices for how much it would cost to get our work done, she kept giving us different prices. She couldn't stick to any price and kept telling my boyfriend to bring in more money then it said on the receipt. We started questioning her about how much it would actually cost us, and she got very upset and rude with us and refused to talk with us anymore. She said to just go to the front counter and the receptionist would tell us how much it would be, and she left. The receptionist couldn't give us a straight answer either. Needless to say we were very displeased and we booked appointments not knowing how much it was going to cost us at all. I called back the next day to cancel my appointment a go somewhere else. The gentleman who answered the phone cancelled our appointments and said that there would be no charge for us getting our x-rays and taking them to another office. They called be back today to confirm the appointments that we had already cancelled. When I told her that we had already cancelled them yestreday with a guy on the phone, she said there was no male that worked there, and that we had to pay $10 each to get our dental x-rays, even though we were already told it was free. So I'm going to pay my $10 and take my business elsewhere. I'm just going to sit back and wait for a mystery bill in the mail from them trying to charge me for something that they didn't do.
