If you are looking for some way to pass the time, you can do a lot worse than tour the Abita Brewery. There is no admission and they are open pretty much all year long. You do need to call ahead, as they only take 50 people through the brewery at once, but that is really the only downside. Our tourguide was funny and had lots of interesting facts about the company and its place in Louisiana history. I would certainly take my friends through there and recommend it to anyone with free time.
