Incompetent!!!
My car has been sitting in this shop for a month. I wish I had checked the reviews of this location before leaving my vehicle here. They are constantly giving me different reasons as to why my car isn't fixed, and the owner Lee Jamison is never available, or on the other line...or in a meeting. I thought because of Amoco's reputation this would be a good place to go, but they are all individually owned and this one is horrible. Beware!!! Go Elsewhere!
Price Range: $1,500 - $2,500

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE! by A. L. at InsiderPages
I had my Volkswagen serviced (if thats what you want to call it) at this location in March of 2008 and I did not get the car back, supposedly fixed, until May of 2008! Yes, you read correctly...it took this Aamco 3 MONTHS TO FIX MY CAR! I had to pay for 3 months of rental car fees (thousands of dollars) on top of the shotty repair job that was done to my transmission seeing as they do not cover this. During the period the Aamco in Summerville also tried to give me back the car on three separate occasions STILL BROKEN! Once they even told me that my car was fixed so long as I shifted manually shifted my automatic transmission....seriously. On top of this when I did get the car back in May it only worked for 2 days before I realized it was leaking transmission fluid. I had to take it all the way to Aiken, SC where my parents lived, to have the MULTIPLE leaks in the transmission fixed because I refused to deal with the owner and clown of a manager any longer. Also, the Aamco in Summerville put the wrong transmission fluid in my car! Needless to say, just when I thought I was done with them I had to go back to the store because they put the wrong car information (Vin, make and color of my car) on my warranty...essentially voiding my warranty if I ever had to use it in the future. Now its Feb, 2009 and my transmission is broken AGAIN and after having it looked at by yet another Aamco I was informed that the transmission has to be rebuilt AGAIN due to the shotty work done during the initial rebuild by the Aamco in Summerville! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE....EVER!

EXELLENT SHOP. by David W. at InsiderPages
My Chrysler had a transmission issue, it was making a howling noise. I am a Mechanical Engineer so I knew it was going to be expensive. I brought my car to the Summerville shop, got some no-nonsense advice, after some conversation i decided to let these guys do there job. They did an exellent job. It was not as expensive as i had anticipated. Thanks Guys!!!

Do NOT take your vehicle here by Renee Y. at InsiderPages
I had a transmission rebuilt by this AAMCO and had NOTHING but problems with them since. They are liars, cheats, and bad mechanics. Do NOT trust them. They try to cheat you by telling you that theres something wrong with your vehicle that is not wrong, and then theyll tell you that if you dont fix the problem, they wont honor your warranty. It is like pulling teeth to try to get them to fix anything as well.
