I found this transmission show in the Yellow Pages. When I got to the shop, I spoke in at the front with someone whose truck has been fixed before. He told me that this really a good transmission shop.
After a free diagnostic check, the mechanic told me that my transmission needs to be resealed to stop the leaking - meaning the transmission needs to be removed first.
Shortly afterward, I was told to speak with with the manager about estimated cost. The manager said I need to have my transmission rebuilt.
My advice, just listen to what their good mechanic says, not the shop manager.
