Bad experience after bad experience
I have been taking my dog to AAA pet hospital for 3 years, and have had the final straw. The Front desk staff is very unprofessional, I always hold for 15-20 minutes on each call, and have never had a call back on test results, after spending up to $400 on tests. I have made the Dr. aware of the service given by there front staff, but still no improvement, he even nodded at my familiar complaint explaining they have been trying to fix this for awhile. As a buisness owner I would never allow my reception to treat clients this way, and find it unacceptable.

Bad, Bad, Bad Experience

Dr. Beshai,

It has been five days since I brought our beloved dog Abby to your “hospital”. I realize the decision I made to end Abby’s life in a compassionate dignified manner was the right decision. The choice I made to bring her to your facility was the worst I or anyone else could have made.

There was no Professionalism.
There was no Compassion.
There was no Dignity.
There was no Tenderness.

That is what I was hoping to find at your “hospital”. Instead, there was severe harshness, cruelty, there was arrogance, and there was imperviousness.

This was not an act of euthanasia. This more closely resembles an execution. Dr. Botros and two other men entered the exam room. Abby was lying on the floor in the corner. There was no introduction, there was no eye contact. I had to assume this man holding a syringe was the vet. The other two men could have been janitors for all I knew. One of them actually straddled Abby and yanked her into a sitting position when the other man grabbed her leg to shave it. My friend and I tried to go to her – asked that she be put on the table. Once on the table Dr. Botros took her front leg and started to inject the medication. He must have been in a hurry while preparing the injection or he just didn’t care. After pushing half the medication in, the needle completely detached from the syringe – the medication squirted all over. All I could think of was my dog… he feverishly reconnected the needle and syringe and pushed what was left in the syringe. At that point he said “the x-rays were “bad” you did the right thing”.

Why couldn’t he come into the room introduce himself without his body guards – maybe assess her condition and start from there? This whole experience is inexcusable. How do you continue to work there? Dr. Botros should have chosen another profession.

I cannot and will not refer anyone to your facility. Thank you for hearing my story. Maybe there is hope for you.
I don’t think filing a complaint with the Veterinary Board of California will make a difference. It is something I will consider although the point of the visit was to end her life.

The card I received was sent with no sincerity- no one took the time to sign it. Please read the following reviews of AAA Animal Hospital attached…

Very truly yours,
Sarah Elizabeth Kardashian

Please do not take your pet here!
They recommended too much medication that caused my dog to become very sick and then they tried to cover it up! They were completely unsympathetic and uncaring to my sick dog and were rude to me. Please be careful and do not take your pet here!

STOP CALLING ME!!!
I have used this animal hospital on three occasions over the last 12 years. For some reason, (perhaps because of my desperation and grief or perhaps because they were located right next to it), I thought they were the humane society and took my sick cats there to be euthanized. The last time I was there, however, I realized that they were not the humane society and they were just a filthy animal hospital. I would never take a viable pet there for anything, but now I am on their calling list and they are offering me a discount on a pet visit. I will stick with the Animal Hospital of Fountain Valley, thank you very much. STOP CALLING ME!!

Having our puppy spade was a nightmare for her & us!
Metal stitches were used at the top & bottom of suture & the middle of incision was just flopping out! She was crying TERRIBLE! I also could not believe when they asked at the beginning if we wanted her to have a pain shot & medication sent home after the surgery (that was a charge of $42.00). I never in a million years thought that a Veterinarian would allow ANY living thing to leave his/her office without pain medication after being cut open! However, this was an option!!! Isn't that inhumane? This was a free service as we adopted her from the shelter...I would never advise ANYONE to send their puppy OR adult dog there...if you love them. It's heartbreaking to see the result of this butcher!
