You have to check out A Snail's Pace if you're serious about running. They have a very knowledgeable and helpful staff. They'll analyze your foot and recommend shoes for the type of running you plan to be doing. They have a pretty nice selection of shoes, apparel, and running computers.

The sales associates here are really world class and will take as much time as you need to find the best shoe and fit for your feet. They are quite knowledgable and your shoe will last longer than one you get at Big 5 where it is difficult to even get help. I highly recommend this place for shoes.

This is a great shop to get your running shoes. They have excellent service and a wide variety of shoes. When you see a pair you like they bring it out for you, and then they tell you to go run aorund outside in them! How great is that? That way you are able to get a better feel before you purchase your kicks. They are always welcoming, every jogger should stop in.
