Beware of this handyman...we were verbally quoted $800 for a job that when finished was billed at $2,400! In dispute it was talked down by $400 which was still way over what we expected...now sent to collections by his regular collections agency. If a handyman has a collections agency on call this is a bad sign that there are a lot of customers refusing to pay his overcharges. Most upsetting of all is that he agreed his employees' mistakes caused the overage in time spent - yet says I have to "share the responsibility". What BS...I will never use Jim's services again and will warn every homeowner I know to avoid this master of none at all costs.
Pros: Seems very friendly and nice when first meeting.
Cons: Unlicensed, unscrupulous, overcharges for his employees' mistakes. Takes 4x more time to do any job versus calling a licensed professional and leaves the jobs half-done then bills as if it was finished.
