fun for beginners by Rob T. at InsiderPages
I took a series of swing dancing classes here. The demographic tended to be older than my own (early 20's), but it was nevertheless fun...when I had a partner. They say you don't have to have a partner, but often the women outnumbered the men and the men that came were quickly claimed by possessive female partners who refused to let them dance with anyone else. Very eclectic mix of people- all very nice, including the staff. While the instruction went a bit slow for my taste, it was fantastic to see these old men who are regulars there glide around the dance floor in a variety of styles. They had clearly learned a thing or two about dancing.

Okay Studio
Some Good Teachers, large classes, not enough men, sometimes parking is difficult, don't get a lot of one on one attention since class size is so large

Great place to learn to dance for your wedding
My fiance and I needed a few lessons within the month before our wedding just so we wouldn't have to do the usual boring shuffle for the first dance. My friend recommended this place after taking a set of ballroom dancing classes and said the instructors were great (she liked Cathy). I thought the prices were competitive, parking turned out to be really easy at the Beverly Center, I had no problem with the staff, and you can bring your music on cd or ipod. I also liked the private air-conditioned rooms (really helps you focus). We took just 2 private lessons with Danny, who I think really gave us our money's worth by teaching us several simple, but elegant, steps and turns and a dip for the end. I also think Danny did a great job teaching my fiance, who really had to do all the learning and just about all the work since he's the guy. With all the craziness of planning a wedding, my fiance and I found ourselves happy and smiling each time we left the studio and so, I highly recommend this place as well as Danny for an instructor.

HORRIBLE- go to Hollywood Dance Center or The Tango Room instead
Peri, the owner of the studio, is extremely rude and has no credibility in the dance community. She does not conduct business professionally and time and time again, the instructors and the students suffer. Several members of the dance community have reported her yelling at potential students interested in learning how to dance and on one occasion, she refused to accept someone's handshake in introduction and told that person they needed to move their car "now and it is none of your business why." No one should be treated with such disrespect. Especially a client. If you are interested in learning ballroom, ballet, salsa or tango or if you want to rent studio space, check out Hollywood Dance Center on Highland Avenue in Hollywood where you receive true professional training and the respect you deserve as a customer and as a human being. You can't beat it.

Extremely Unprofessional, Unfriendly
I don't recommend this place at all. The staff is extremely rude and the service is unprofessional. I was taking dance lessons for my wedding. On the last day after I leave work early to drive all the way out there late in the evening with my fiance, they then tell me that my instructor had changed without the courtesy of letting me know in advance. I didn't want to waste my time and money teaching the new instructor what I had learned so far but they refused to give me my money back for that session. The staff is very rude and yells at their customers. To top it all off, the dance lessons were a waste of time. Sure I learned very basic steps but the instructor spent 1/2 of the lessons just chatting away. And, you're stuck. So, I wouldn't get the prepaid sessions at all.
