Terrible for indecisveness, wonderful for wine.
Tucked away on the northern portion of OB is a little gem with walls made of wine. Despite the fact that I lived a couple short blocks from this restaurant for a couple years, I had never been until just recently, and it did not disappoint.
The location is deceivingly big- there are a few areas tucked away in front, in back and on a patio. Each area is lined with stacks of bottles of wine - whites, reds, champagnes - take your pick. When we asked for a more extensive wine list, we received the response they've probably given a million times. "Oh, you just go pick one out."
Now, for someone paralyzed by decision on a daily basis, this was originally a daunting task. But with the help of two friends we meandered over to the red section, decided on a pinot noir and picked one out that looked good (literally - we based the decision almost entirely on the label. It was a damn adorable label). It was fun to be able to try a wine worth more than my normal $2-$10 range I stash at home. There are a handful of wines you can order by the glass, but I highly recommend perusing for something in the aisles. I saw a wine as little as $8 (though not counting the $5 corkage fee) and wines over $100. Depending on who you're trying to impress, the variety is there.
The food was also well worth the price. I decided to do a lunch type dinner and get the chicken sandwich - complete with pesto, sundried tomato, gouda, and a bunch of other goodies. About $10, but worth the cash.
If you love wine, welcome to your candy shop.
