We bought our first home 4 years ago. Within the first year our main line was blocked due to root growth. 21st Century was prompt in responding and quickly cleared our main line by cutting the roots. Another year goes by and our main line clogged again due to root growth. We called 21st Century and again they were prompt and cleared the line. We then had 8 trees removed from our front yard in hopes of preventing this from happening again. Another year goes by and the line is clogged yet again due to root growth. So, I did some research online regarding the root growth in our main line. I do not have the money to replace the pipes (I've read this can cost up to $12,000) so I was looking for an alternative to the yearly root cutting within the pipes. During my research I learned the constant cutting could damage the lines even more. I also learned there is a product called RootX that guarantees, if applied by a licensed plumber, to prevent root growth for a year and should be applied yearly as root growth prevention maintenance. Here's my problem - in the past 4 yrs, 21st Century Plumping has been to our home to remove the roots from our line 6 times. Not once did they mention or offer this service. Instead, at their last visit, we were told not to flush toilet paper because it's gathering around the roots and clogging the line. Ok.. is the toilet paper the problem or the roots? Had 21st Century offered this service we could have saved some money and prevented further damage to our line from the constant cutting. I recently called other local plumbers, including the chain Roto Rooter, and they offer this service. So, how knowledgeable is 21st Century Plumbing?

I have only used 21st Century Plumbing twice. Each time they called ahead. They accomplished the needed work in a reasonable time and to my satisfaction. They will be my plumbing service again in the future.
